What do the words wealth or wealth creation mean to you? What do you associate with those words? Does it mean savings during the certain period of time; maybe a lifetime of savings and then buying your dream house in Florida? Does it mean for you retiring before age 65? Does it mean for you - create wealth fast, almost instant? Does wealth mean the quality of time you have with your family? Does it mean the quality of your life? Does wealth mean doing whatever you want in your life? Does $3 million a year seem high or too low to you?
The old English meaning of the word, wealth, means be well. Wealth means more opportunities, better life, better health, better education etc.
Whatever picture of wealth and wealth creating you hold in your mind, whatever definition of wealth you might have, you can achieve it.
It is possible for the average person to become truly wealthy. And the good thing is that it is never too late to start trying to build wealth. Some people just do it better and faster than others. But don’t get caught up trying to compare yourself to others! So many people look at massively successful people and they say, “I can’t do it.” Then they look at unsuccessful people and say the same thing, “I can’t do it”. Instead of focusing on their efforts and believing in themselves! Like I always say, don’t compare yourself to other people, only compare yourself to yourself! You should strive to get better each and everyday!
The difference between the rich and the poor is not in how much money they have, but the mindset differences between the two.
Your inner beliefs and right success mindset can help you meet your goals. How do you do this? Understand the power of your subconscious mind! Here are 3 things you can do to make your subconscious mind work for you.
1. Ask yourself if you really believe that you can achieve your goal.
2. If you don't believe that you can do it, you will have to change your beliefs.
3. Monitor and analyze your thoughts. Write down your thoughts that you have about achieving your goal. Find negative thoughts about this goal. For example, the thought "I can not do this" is a negative thought. Then change those thoughts into opposite and positive ones.
So it is important to understand that “The Power of Belief” is critical if you wish to achieve success in any endeavor! Most people rationalize their way out of success by using excuses and stumbling blocks.
Wilma Rudolph is an example of how an undying belief in one-self can be the catalyst to overcoming problems. Polio took a toll on Wilma as a child. For six years she wore braces and could not walk, but she believed the braces would someday come off. The doctor was doubtful Wilma would ever walk correctly, but he encouraged her to exercise. Wilma didn’t understand that she might be permanently handicapped. She thought that if a little exercise was good, a lot must be very good. When her parents were away, Wilma would take off the braces and try again and again to walk unaided. When she was eleven, she told her doctor, “I have something to show you.” Wilma removed her braces and walked across the room. She never put them on again.
Wilma wanted to play sports. After some false starts at basketball, she finally confronted her coach, saying, “If you give me ten minutes a day, I will give you in return a world-class athlete.” The coach laughed uncontrollably but agreed to give Wilma the time. When basketball season was over, Wilma turned to track. By age fourteen she was on the track team, and by sixteen she was encouraged to prepare for the Olympics. Wilma Rudolph won a bronze medal at the 1956 Olympics and three gold medals at the 1960 games.
Just like Wilma, how many of you have braces on your life holding you back from your full potential?
- Negative Friends and Family
- Self Doubt
- Fear
- Broke Mentality
- Worry
You see, if you start believing now, then remove those braces, you may never have to put them back on again. Belief in yourself and hard work can make you a world-class individual in whatever area you choose. What will you have to give up? What can you have if you keep on trying?
Your subconscious mind and your personal beliefs are constantly at work for you. Make sure that it works in needed directions. Train your conscious mind to think thoughts of success. Constantly train your mind to see success in what you do in achieving your goal and you'll get your subconscious mind working for you in creating wealth in 2009!
God Bless and Good Luck in Your Endeavors,
