"We are what we think
All that we are arises with our thoughts
With our thoughts we create the world"
Buddha
January is often a time when people are reflecting on the past year and setting goals for the new year (or for some, beating themselves up for what they didn't do last year, and some stating that they're never going to set goals again!). But setting goals is really about making choices. Choosing to continue on the same path or choosing a new direction. It can be specific choices like choosing to start your own business, choosing to do your business more often, choosing social and recreational activities to take part in and so on. Or it can be less tangible like setting your intention to have more ease in your life, more money, more time for yourself etc. and being open to the opportunities that support this.
I've discovered that in order to do this, I need to ack

Tonight’s conference call is dedicated to my beautiful wife Shanee’! Many of you may have been wondering, that have been around a while, where has Shanee’ been. Usually she introduces me on every Sunday night motivational call and travels with me as we do business across the US. But for the last 4 months, she has been “missing in action”. She hasn’t retired early nor did she decide to stop pursing this great opportunity. In fact, after tonight she is back in full effect!
As everyone has goals and to-dos on life’s list, so do we. After dating for 3 and ½ years and being married for 1 year, neither of us finished college. I would have a much longer time to finish my degree, but she only had 1 more semester. After building a home, purchasing new vehicles, making a few investments, and before making additions to our family, we set a goal for Shanee’ to get her college degree. Obviously after having children in addition to the demands of building our business, it would have

People often ask me how I became successful in this 7 year period of time while many of the people I knew did not. The answer is simple: The things I found to be easy to do, they found to be easy not to do.
I found it easy to set the goals that could change my life. They found it easy not to. I found it easy to read the books that could affect my thinking and my ideas. They found that easy not to. I found it easy to attend the classes and the seminars, and to get around other successful people. They said it probably really wouldn't matter.
If I had to sum it up, I would say what I found to be easy to do, they found to be easy not to do. Six years later, I'm a million dollar producer and they are all still blaming the economy, the government and company policies, yet they neglected to do the basic, easy things.
In fact, the primary reason most people are not doing as well as they could and should, can be summed up in a si

Hopefully everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Each year November and December are months where we spend more time with friends and family and really reflect on our lives and all we have to be thankful for. Large gatherings, good food, gifts and friendly fellowship are all commonplace across all social classes in our country. Most people only give thanks in abundance during this time of the year.
If you look up the word thanks in a Thesaurus, gratitude is listed as a synonym. I was always taught that gratitude was a key ingredient in becoming successful in my personal and professional life.
Dennis Prager, a radio talk show host and author, once said, "All happy people are grateful. Ungrateful people cannot be happy. We tend to think that being unhappy leads people to complain, but it is truer to say that complaining leads to people becoming unhappy."

1. Review your performance.
Whether it's communication, whether it's activity, whether it's a CEO, whether it's on the job. Here's what my father said, "Always do more than you are paid for to make an investment in your future." Now some unions wouldn’t argue with that. My father was so unique. Review your performance--your language with your children. Say, "Have I been too harsh, too strong, too stubborn? Should I have learned to be easier and mixed more compassion with the tough stuff I have to deal with?" And yes, prayer will help. Ask for help to say the right thing, not to ruin it all by poor communication.
2. Face your fears.
That's how you conquer them. Don't dismiss them; face them. Say, "Here's what I'm afraid of. I wonder wha

On tonight’s motivational call that I do every Sunday, I started the call playing a song by John Mayer called “Waiting on the World to Change”. This song and the recent results of the United States Presidential election really inspired me to write this blog.
At the beginning of the song, in the 1st verse, Mayer says, “Now we see everything that’s going wrong with the world and those who lead it, just feel like we don’t have the means to rise above and beat it so we keep waiting on the world to change.” Then he goes on to say, “It’s hard to beat the system when we’re standing at a distance, so we keep waiting on the world to change”.
So many people in our society, as a whole, feel so inferior that they do not think that their personal contribution can make a difference in the world we live in. This reality brings me to one of my favorite quotes, “People are so anxious to change their situations, but yet, they are unwilling to change t

When one looks up the definition of stress in the dictionary, it tells us:
Stress – noun:
1. importance or significance attached to a thing; emphasis
2. physical, mental, or emotional strain or tension
So ultimately, stress is a mental illusion, an interpretation and a perception. What is stressful to one person may be enjoyable to another. Heights might be stressful for one person, while free-falling out of an airplane is exhilarating for another. Public speaking might completely frightening to one person, but be the most empowering activity possible for another. Losing $100,000 in the stock market might be less stressful for one person than having a bad hair day is for another. Stress is a mental perception, chosen by the perceiver.
The level of importan

Failure! What do you feel when you think about failure? Inadequate? Unworthy? Unlovable? It is so sad that you might have learned to link failure to your value as a person.
Most people who are successful in their work and their relationships have experienced many failures along their road to success. Thomas Edison, the inventor of the electric bulb, is often quoted regarding failure:
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."
"I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward."
"Many of life's failures are men who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up."
"Show me a thoroughly satisfied man, and I will show you a failure."
If Edison has been afraid of failure, or believed that failure meant

Government economic bailouts, foreclosure, rising unemployment rates, war and lives being lose, huge mega banks going under - everywhere you turn, the news always seems to be bad.
Most people consider this to be the worst of all times. But as I have always taught you, things could always be worse! Let’s take a look back through history.
In September of 1873 America’s economy entered a crisis known as the Panic of 1873. This period was also known as “The Long Depression”; however, this period did not last longer than the “Great Depression”. During this time, Jay Cooke & Company, which was a major component of the United States banking establishment, had to file bankruptcy, resulting in a chain of bank failures and the New York stock market closed temporarily. Of the 364 railroads, which the US economy revolved around, 89 went bankrupt. A total of 18,000 businesses failed between 1873 and 1875. The unemployment

In this blog, I will be talking about six mental laws that will bring anyone that follows them all the success they desire. Some of you may ask, is it that simple? The reality is, it's very SIMPLE, but it may not be so easy. But anything worth having is worth working towards. I hope you are able to use these truths to better your life and the lives of those around you. Many books have been written concerning these laws and you can find some of most powerful ones ever written on this subject.
The Law of Control
You feel good about yourself to the extent that you feel in control of your life. When you are working toward a goal that you feel good about and for which you have made a conscious decision to target, your actions support
